Check Your Tires

Your tires are especially important when dealing with snow, slush, and icy roads. As tread wears down, tires become less effective at channeling water and maintaining traction. Winter temperatures also cause tire pressure to drop, making regular pressure checks important.

Before winter arrives, have your tires inspected for tread depth, uneven wear, and proper inflation. Test Your Battery

Cold weather reduces a battery's ability to deliver power. It also requires the battery to work harder when starting a cold engine. Having your battery tested before winter can help identify declining performance before it leaves you stranded.

Inspect Your Brakes

Worn brake pads, damaged rotors, or other braking system problems can compromise stopping performance even under normal conditions. Colder, slipperier conditions can compound any potential problems.
